No he/she DOES NOT.

We care about what we pay.There is no reason why we should be paying as much of these useless western countries.

We ARE WAY AHEAD OF TIMES compared to any 2nd or 1st class country that you may think of.

It does suck that we Europeans have to pay twice as much as you guys for gas, telecom services and a few other state-controlled items, but we are a lot freer than you in terms of Big Brother having less info. on us. We can also go in and out of our countries without having dogs sniffing up our butts

In addition to paying more for your phone, it's also worse service (or at least in Bulgaria). If not for my friends, I would probably have been incarcerated for putting that bi+ch in the hospital. GRRRRRRR!

Why is the service so high? I've asked others but they say: taxes. I don't know if I'm totally convinced. Surely there must be something else?

I think it is just taxes, just like with gas. There's collusion at the head-of-state level to make sure no one country decides to undercut another and set off a price war. Very pragmatic these m&@#f#&@ing European governments -- they don't even attempt to regulate anything that can be smuggled.

Canada takes it up the butt with alcohol and cigarettes, though. Unbelievable prices there. In Hungary I can get a pint of premium beer for $0.75 at the supermarket or $1.25 in a pub. A pack of Marlboros is $2, which is not bad either.
